Grants are available from both the federal government and the state of Pennsylvania. These grants are intended to provide financial assistance to students who have a demonstrated financial need. Since many of our students are adult learners, we understand how much a grant can help them achieve their college degree aspirations. You can find the list of available grants below. Please be aware that grants may be reduced or eliminated if other sources of financial aid, including Peirce College funds, exceed the cost of attendance (COA).

Federal Pell Grant

This grant is available to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional financial need, whether they are enrolled as full-time or part-time students. The grant amount for the 2024-2025 academic year is determined by the student aid index (SAI) and the number of credits they are taking, with awards ranging from $767 to $7,395 per year. It's important to note that there is a limit to the number of semesters for which you can receive these funds.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

This award is designed to help both full-time and part-time students who have demonstrated financial need. The exact amount of the award depends on your enrollment status and when you submitted the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The award can vary from $100 to $4,000 per year. Please be aware that the funding is limited, and the annual amount that the College can offer is determined by the Federal government.

Pennsylvania State Grant (PA State Grant)

This grant is given to Pennsylvania residents who demonstrate financial need and are accepted into an undergraduate program. To qualify, students must enroll for at least six credits each semester. Keep in mind that the amount of funds available may change from year to year and the awards vary based on enrollment status, ranging from $100 to $5,260 per year. If you have received a notice from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), please be aware that this is just the first step. 

Pennsylvania Summer State Grant

To be eligible for this grant, students must be Pennsylvania residents and enrolled at least half-time. Learn more and apply at PHEAA.org.

Fostering Independence Tuition Waiver (FosterEd) Program

The Fostering Independence Tuition Waiver Program is designed to provide a waiver for tuition and mandatory fees charged by most postsecondary institutions located in the Commonwealth for youth who are or were in foster care.
